I was doing some research on social networking sites for a post on the EFH broadband blog when I came across a new site that I thought was rather cool. This new social network is called imeem, which is based around sharing music and video playlists. What I thought made this site cool was the fact that you can create playlists on your profile and share them with your friends. So if you are interested in say Indie music, you can click on the Indie button and see what songs people have got on their profiles, listen to the track and download it to your itunes. You can also share videos in the same manner.
I think it’s great, particularly for finding music that is less mainstream or discovering new artists. Check it out.

imeem is the GREATEST! After slogging it out on MySpace for a few months, I discovered imeem a few weeks ago and have never looked back. It offers musicians a much more interactive and constructive community. You really get to know people. :)

Thanks for the comment Chris, I have really loved imeem so far, particularly as it gives you the opportunity to find new artists that are less mainstream.
