Today I heard that the Queen is catching on to the world of web 2.0 and keeping up with the times by embracing social media and all its possibilities. The queen is to have her own special profile on youtube where people can keep up to date with her broadcasts and can even watch her Christmas day speech on the 25th. I don't think she will personally be uploading her videos as I am struggling to imagine her sitting on her throne with her laptop, asking Harry for tips on how to create the correct tags, although the thought does make me smile. But it is nice to see that the Royal family are trying to move with the trends and highlights how important social media is becoming in our society. Maybe the Queen will start a blog next, I know I for one will be subscribing to it as I have always wondered what it would be like to be the most powerful woman in Britain!
